Hello to the board, and thanks to Rick and Dave for providing this forum. I just finished Rick's 2-day class July 17 & 18 and am still totally pumped. As I told Rick during the class, I picked up the longbow about 3 years ago and was getting really frustrated because the only part of my 3D deer target that I didn't have to worry about replacing was the kill zone. Now, I've been out every day working on what I learned from Rick and I'm shooting better than I thought possible. And still showing improvement.

Anyway, I'm a law school professor at Michigan State and, despite that, am an avid hunter and outdoorsman. I am deeply interested in the philosophy and ethics of hunting and am in the woods every chance I get. I hunt with a single shot pistol (T/C Encore) during gun seasons and switched to traditional archery partly because compounds (never mind crossbows) are too mechanical and require no art to shoot well. I'm blessed with a wonderful wife who hunts and is a rifle instructor (among her many other talents) and two amazing kids who are totally amazed with the bow and arrow.
