My name is Terry Mowery,58 Years Young, and have lived in Northeastern Pennsylvania my entire life.I started out Shooting a Bow back when there was no Compounds on the Scene. My first Bow was a Herters Recurve.
I had left Trad Bows for the Promice of Instant Gratification, by using Compounds, but the Romance was something that eluded me,the whole time.I would fill Slumps, with the latest and Greatest D0-Dads,trying to always maintain the edge, only to become more unhappier, and my JUNK Box overflowed, with the items, that took the Fun out of the Sport.I have recently returned to my Root's in Archery, and have not been happier, and for the First Time, in a long time, can actually see my Arrows fly to their intended target. Im back where I always belonged, and have locked the door to so called Modern Crutches.Hope there is room here for a Long Lost Soul? Have a GREAT Day!
Terry

Great to meet you Terry! Hope you find the site as helpful as I have. It certainly has helped my shooting and I'm sure you'll find everyone on here to be very helpful and informative ! I made the change about a year ago. Had my doubts along the way but stayed vigilant and practiced at every opportunity. Bear season opened on September 1st here and 3 hours into my first sit, I placed a perfect arrow on a 250 lb bear. There's no going back for me now!! I've taken several animals with my compound but all of them combined could never measure up to the thrill of that first trad kill.
Shoot well, and keep in touch !!
