I am a recent convert from the 'dark side'. affraid I have shot compound bows for around 14 years. I have always had an interest in traditional archery, but never explored it any further until recently. I have laid the compound bow down and made a vow to myself to try traditional archery for the upcoming year. I purchased my recurve, it is 58" long. 50# @ 28" draw. I have started shooting it and realize I need some help. I want to shoot instinctively, no gap, string walking, etc. Just instinctive. I found this site from a YouTube video and joined up. Looking forward to the knowledge I will gain from this forum. Cool

I realize by looking around I need to watch the Rick Welch DVD's.
Any good recommendations on where to start with a DVD?

I have the latest one. I dont imagine you'd need the first 2 if you have it unless you just wanted to. I also have his bowhunting arkansas whitetails and a hog hunting tape but they are older. I enjoy them all. Just good ole boys like me having fun hunting with trad equipment.

Welcome, Scott. I don't mean to jump on Dave's turf, but Rick's most recent DVD (the 3rd) is all you need... save the money you would spend on other DVDs and go to Rick's shooting school. Best money you will spend on archery.

Thanks guys !!!
I will be picking up the third DVD and give it a whirl.
Man, I'm loving this trad shooting. It's a lot more fun than the compound IMO.
Thanks again,
Scott
