Hello From Missouri Empty
PostSubject: Hello From Missouri   Hello From Missouri I_icon_minitimeSat 13 Jun 2015, 3:42 pm

Greetings from the "Show Me" State.

I've been shooting bows since I was 12 years old and have gone through the whole process of starting off making my own bow and arrows self taught at 12 yrs old.  My first store bought bow was a Colt 42# Recurve and went to shooting a compound for a few years and became bored.  I went back to Traditional shooting 2 years ago and now have more fun than ever shooting.  I've gradually improved in my self taught style by searching the internet but I need some guidance from those willing to teach and share with a stubborn 67 year old man.   I love shooting my recurves and longbows alike but there is something special about drawing back my bow and feel the power building up and with a smooth release and at that instant knowing the arrow will hit its intended mark before it is half way there.  Of course this doesn't happen with every shot but it gets more frequent the more I practice.  Teaching an old dog a new trick applies in my case.  I'm here to learn.
