Welcome.......Dave

Now, I gotta ask.......WHY would a person move from a state like Wyoming to Virginia ? It's BEAUTIFUL out there.

wind / winter /women belive me its not all it seems till ya get here --------- some great hunts thats true but almost certainly need guide-------- game and fish laws are complete lawer speak , no idea where when or whats required from one small plot to next , most of state tied in with blm , no idea where their rites and boundries change /most of eastern wyoming is ineffect desert high plans / antelope GOOD! other creatures kinda don't come around here .
homesick to get up in a tree! lol and hunt the whitetail without a 2 hour drive.

I hear that. I love hunting in the west, every other year or so. It makes for a special hunt that I can look forward to, plan for, and just go out and have a good time with my uncle.

But right now I've got a 20 minute drive to a 300-acre private plot with my stands set up year round for deer, turkey, squirrel and rabbit, no license issues, no real problems with a lottery. The scenery isn't much to look at compared to glassing for elk up on the rim in arizona or looking for antelope in WY, but it's nice to have low stress hunts whenever I want them.
