"Hey Rick"...

I like to make my own strings and just ordered some 8125. I have made some with TS plus but that stuff takes forever to settle from the creep.

Do you have a suggested strand count for my 45 and 55 lb Pro Hunter recurves with 8125. Some folks have tried skinny strings but I find you have to build up the serving to achieve good nock fit and decent comfort on shooting fingers. I assume 12 strands should be more than adequate, with maybe a bit of padding in the loops (4 extra strands for 16 in the loops). I am really not looking for extra speed, the bows are fast enough as they are.

Of course the strings you built that came with the bows have shown zero wear. I just like to tinker now and then.

Im pretty sure he makes them 14 strand with 8125 but I do not know if he pads them or not. I don't know what diameter serving he uses either.
